Featuring Accompanist Billy Stritch Saturday, October 11 | 6:30 PM & 8:45 PM | The Cube @ The DSO
Detroit, MI — Cabaret 313 proudly launches its 13th season with Tony Award-nominated actress and singer Melissa Errico in her acclaimed show The Life and Loves of a Broadway Baby. Joined on piano by the legendary Billy Stritch, the performance will take place on Saturday, October 11 at 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM at The Cube at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
As The New York Times says, “Any chance to hear Melissa Errico sing is a chance worth taking.” In this witty and heartfelt show, Errico sets her own story to music—from Stephen Sondheim’s “Broadway Baby” to timeless standards by Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Joni Mitchell, and more. Combining her talents as both a celebrated singer and a published author, Errico weaves songs with personal anecdotes, offering what critics have called “the Nora Ephron rom-com version of Sex in the City.”
Accompanying her on piano is Billy Stritch, the Grammy-winning pianist whose career includes collaborations with Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, and Marilyn Maye. Together, Errico and Stritch promise a night of dazzling music, sophisticated storytelling, and cabaret at its finest.
This performance is generously sponsored by Joanne Danto and Dr. Arnold Weingarden.
Mark your calendar: Saturday, October 11. With showtimes at 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM, (doors open 30 minutes prior) enjoy an evening where Broadway glamour meets personal storytelling—and see why audiences call Melissa Errico unforgettable.
